Julianne Moore (born December 3, 1960) is a popular Hollywood actress from Fayetteville, North Carolina. Before she had an acting career, which started when she appeared in the TV program As the World Turns, she was a waitress in a bistro. The said show where she starred for three years earned the prestigious Daytime Emmy Award. After having a role in As The World Turns, Julianne played supporting roles in several features such as Benny and Joon, The Fugitive, and The Hand that Rocks the Cradle. After being praised by various critics, she began appearing in top Hollywood films like Nine Months and The Lost World: Jurassic Park. However, her acting finesse was best recognized when she was nominated Academy Awards Best Actress for the movie The End of the Affair and Far from Heaven. She was also an Academy Awards nominee for the movies Boogie Nights and The Hours.
